Have you ever had times when you have to act like a parent to your parents while they unknowingly act like an innocent kid? I have, and in fact, today was one of those days. I played along with them in the same ebullient spirit about something significant, even though I could foresee the lurking of unwholesome news. I acted the way I did simply because it seemed mean to bog them with harsh truths while they were having one happy moment in life. And so like every other parent who knows their child will learn by herself with time, I belied my fears and balked short of warning them. Now with all that in hindsight, the only question that I am pondering about is, "God, when will I become a child again?"

Haha..Yes,such situations do come up,and,it's best to appear ignorant,and let parents feel happy that they're teaching you something new about life,which will guide you in the years to come..:)Re when you'll become a child again..hehe..why'd u want to do that,I wonder??
And.nice use of GRE-like words..ebullient,unwholesome,etc...made me feel erudite, for knowing their meanings..haha..keep it up.:)
Neo, no, this isn't what we had talked about earlier haha.. Thank God. I would prefer not to have that conversation again for another 2 years :D... But I am glad to know that you are also being tormented in the same way. After-all, misery loves company, right? :D
AmitL, how can anyone not want to become a child? Childhood is awesome esp. in terms of leading a carefree life.. but I know you cannot have it forever *sigh* Oh, but thanks for the comment about GRE words. I enjoy calling them from memory and using them as well :)
no no...i am not being tormented...
I actually torment the elders - I ask them to find one , and give them a whole list of specifications....so throw the ball in their court...

sigh...yea,
just a few days ago...caught dad snacking on cookies...I was like "daaaaad...you are not supposed to have cookies."
I had to snatch the cookie from him, while he made a face and grumbled all the way to his room...
I am getting old now...
